WMS Young Marksmen Make History at JROTC Championships

In an unprecedented achievement, Shayleigh Osborne and Cecil Pingrey, two exceptional 8th graders from Wiesbaden Middle School qualified for the JROTC Service Marksmanship Championships held from February 10-17, 2025. This historic milestone marks the first time any 8th graders from DODEA have qualified for this prestigious international competition under Precision Marksmanship.
The journey to this remarkable feat included the last match of the season in Kaiserslautern, held this past Saturday. The team not only secured a triumphant victory but also saw individual accolades. Shayleigh Osborne earned a Bronze Pin for shooting above 270 in a Postal competition, a testament to her skill and precision.
The event also highlighted the contributions of Cecil Pingrey and Brady Warren, who participated as Exhibition shooters, showcasing their marksmanship talents.
This achievement underscores the dedication, hard work, and exceptional talent of these young marksmen. The future looks bright for these Wildcats as they continue to represent their schools and community.
Congratulations the entire team for their extraordinary accomplishments!
