AVID Students organize CCR Day for 8th graders
WIESBADEN, Germany – On June 1, 2026, the eighth-grade AVID class at Wiesbaden Middle School hosted CCR Day (College and Career Day).
With over 50 visitors from the Wiesbaden community, students were able to engage in one-on-one conversations with individuals from various career paths.
The college alumni ranged from West Point to Texas A&M to Norwich University, all helping students to understand the academic expectations for university entrance and graduation.
As a military community, Wiesbaden also provided many representatives from the Army, Air Force, and Marines to introduce students to the career options available in the Armed Forces.
Finally, there were small business owners, pilots, healthcare workers, and many other professionals in attendance who shared their knowledge and experiences at the event.
The Wiesbaden community really showed up to help eighth graders understand the academic and professional steps they could take in high school to ensure success in the future.
